[.feature]2[.feature] garlic cloves, minced
[.feature]¼[.feature] medium onion, diced
[.feature]1[.feature] tsp dried parsley
[.feature]½[.feature] tsp black pepper
[.feature]1 ½[.feature] cups tomato sauce, low-sodium
[.feature]1/3[.feature] cup fresh basil, chopped
[.feature]1¼[.feature] cup low-fat cottage cheese
[.feature]¾[.feature] low-fat mozzarella cheese, shredded
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Warm large skillet over medium heat. Add turkey, onions, garlic and spices. Cook, stirring for 3-4 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Drain excess oil and add sauce and fresh basil to beef mixture. Simmer until heated through.
In a deep round baking dish, spread think layer of the sauce mixture on bottom of dish. Layer 1 italian egglife wrap, 1/3 of remaining sauce, 1/3 cottage cheese and 1/3 mozzarella cheese. Repeat with the remaining ingredients until you create 3 layers, finishing with mozzarella.
Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to brown mozzarella cheese on top. Cool for 5 minutes and enjoy!
